Introductory course for new Named Veterinary Surgeons

This course, approved by the RCVS and recognised by the Home Office, covers the Designated Veterinarian module as per the HO guidance and covers the learning outcomes in EU module 24. Full details of the course can be found here.

The expectation from the Home Office is that new named veterinary surgeons will also have attended modules E1, L, K theory and E2, and PILA as appropriate depending on the species they are working with. The PPL module is also recommended. Please note that these modules are not covered during the NVS course because they are widely available elsewhere.
